BarretteWood has specialized in the manufacture, marketing and delivery of value-added wood products for more than 45 years.
The company started out in 1975 as Fenclo Ltd. The forestry operation, then located in Laval, manufactured wood fences by optimizing the wood pellets generated by the Barrette-Chapais sawmill complex.
Still run as Fenclo Ltd., the company then moved to Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu in 1998.
To expand its product line, in 2008 BarretteWood acquired LeggetWood of Roberval, a manufacturer of wooden box spring components.
Today, we continue this momentum by proudly manufacturing quality products for distribution in Canada, the United States, Central America and Asia.
BarretteWood employs more than 350 workers at its Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu and Roberval factories. We’re also present in the United States, with two assembly sites that make our products easier to transport: one in Springfield, Missouri, and a second in Riverside, California.
