Established on Montreal’s South Shore since 1998, the BarretteWood factory in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu is known for its manufacturing calibre. From pre-assembled wood fence panels to wooden box spring components, we design and manufacture a broad range of products with various grades of wood.
Our manufacturing facility is equipped with advanced production techniques and specialized equipment like optimizers, slitters, surface planers, shapers and automatic nailers. Ongoing investment supports the performance of BarretteWood operations to keep up an exceptional pace while optimizing raw materials.
Do we work hard? Yes, but what really sets BarretteWood apart is our flexibility and innovation. The Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu factory manufactures over 90 different wood products with minimal inventory. The company uses a dedicated railway branch to receive and ship products across North America.
Everyone pitches in with the receiving, processing and shipping processes for raw materials at our lumber yard, which is almost 200 million square feet in size— the province’s largest.
« BarretteWood really takes care of its employees. I’ve been coming to work here with a smile every morning for 10 years now. »
- Stephane Leclaire, trainer.
The Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu wood processing facility is driven by a performance-focused team. Their command of our state-of-the-art equipment, most of which the company itself developed on-site, considerably boosts our overall production capacity. This expertise also makes it easier to adjust the team’s work processes to achieve the flexibility needed to manufacture so many products.
